I’ve not blogged for a while. Sorry. Busy playing with my new toy. In the end I opted to keep the iPod Touch. it was just too sleek and lovely to give up. I had long suspected it would have its faults but the fact that it is just so small in my hand (fnarr) [...] On Friday evening L and I went to a charratee ball. All dicky bows and posh frocks. L fished out one of her wedding dresses (she has two – one civil one church – I should note I was groom on both occasions). She looked amazing. Just like on our wedding day almost 8 years [...] It was supposed to be a reward if he managed to keep his pants dy for two days ina row but he was so good today after we were under a lot of pressure that I popped into argos whilst he slept in the car (watched by L I should add) and purchased both box [...] Finally caved in and bought a Zoom H2 audio recorder. I’ve fancied one of these for a few years now but could never justify the expense (see many previous posts concerning buying a recording MP3 player). I did get a rather nifty Philips thumb-sized recorder from Tesco for about £10 but the dynamic range sucks [...] Just popped out a second ago to perv at mandolins in the music shop around the corner. I’m very lucky to have a music shop on the edge of town just a short distance from work. However, when I arrived I found a generator outside and a long stripy umbilical stretched into the doorway. “Power [...] I’ve bought L a pile of prezzies off the Internet. This way (I thought) I don’t have to face the crowds in town and I can just point ['n click] and say “I want that one”. Done. Great. That was until some parcels arrived and nobody was home. So I now have a little red card [...] A good weekend. Finally after just under 3 years living in out house we finally have our aerial sorted. Yes, we have Freeview firing on all channels thanks to a shiny silver poll fixed to our back wall that allows the aerial to poke over the rooftop. Bliss. I made a good attempt to watch as [...] Young Yoda loves eyes. He just can’t help poking his fingers in them or taking off peoples glasses and putting them on himself. Oh what jolly fun. Jolly fun until yesterday when, just before work, he took mine of and the memo-flex(TM) legs suffered a bit of amnesia and metal fatigue and promptly snuffed it. Dring to [...] Action packed last few days. I discovered on Friday I’d been taking half the maximum dose of paracetamol/Ibuprofen. Doubling this seems to have made a difference and I can now function a lot better. I celebrating with a trip to Tescoland yesterday and bought a skip full of each. However, it seems that bulk [...] |
