Lots of commotion at work yesterday due to a Royal visiting the landlord who occupies 2 thirds of the office building. I won’t say too much about it except mentioning the commotion with the NotW journos outside in force and having the grand experience of Special Branch opening the door for me on the way [...] I cabbed it back from violin last night to find L flopped on the sofa. “Any phone calls?” “No but JG came round from next door asking if you wanted him to look at your car or give you a lift to work.” – what a nice chap. A little while later I was turning the engine over [...] I’m cold. I’m very cold. It is undoubtedly partially due to it being December and thus Winter in the Northern Hemisphere but I think it is something else. I feel the cold now much more than other people. It has been like this for a few years now, particularly on my arms. A slight draft [...] Came back from day 3 at work last night to find L in the front garden weeding and ickle Yoda wearing gardening gloves wielding a little fork. Too cute for words. Fabulous weather, the best this year. Hope it lasts. Sorry for not blogging much lately. not been feeling 100% and I’ve been busy with nipper, [...] Now that is a nice thing to come just before Easter. A provisional 3 month contract which should translate into a permanent post after that. (No worse than a 3 month probationary period which you get in every job in this industry.) Interesting work too. Early days though. Paper work to be sorted. But it sounds [...] You’d think with all this being unemployed I’d be blogging more. However, it seems I am filling my lazy days with other activities. Granted I’ve fired off a number of job applications and swotted up a lot but I seem to be filling the rest of the day with watching Pocoyo with Yoda and scratching [...] Well it has been almost a week since I cleared my desk. I’d like to say I’ve decorated the spare room, reorganised the garage, taught Yoda Tai-chi and fixed everything in the house that is broken, but … I haven’t. Instead I’ve been diligently job hunting and watched way too much daytime TV. Daytime TV, as [...] So here I am at work again. I have a bullet lodged in the back of my head and I’m working till the end of the week tidying things up. Outside it is sunny and we went to the pub for lunch. The rest of the week is a slow downward spiral until I clear [...] A letter has just popped through the letter box. Dear Mr Edie On the day what you took your motor to the shop for to fix the orange light last week, you was clocked doing 38mph in a 30mph zone and we has photographic negatives to prove it.
