I feel like I’m back in the land of the living again. Not 100% but in the 90s. I read on the BBC “news” site today that running keeps you alive longer. I had a flashback to my jogging days before my knee turned to rhubarb crumble. It dawned on me that the joint hasn’t given [...] I went rummaging through people’s photos from Red Nose Day at work, looking for one to post here. However amongst them I found this image of me at the back of a crowd. Pretty shocking really. I’ve been overweight for a long time now. I know I am and I’ve bored you with tales of failed [...] L got her bike back from the shop (the chain-set had ceased as #3 problem on a brand new bike). This time they had said to her “is your husband the big angry Scots guy that came in the other day there?” They had then proceeded (wisely) to do a full service. It was obvious [...] Well, got it all sorted in the end. The Amnesty site is up and running again and shifted over to 34sp.com. All lovely. I am a happy bunny. Big disappointment this morning when I discovered its still not Friday. A whole day to go before one day till the weekend. Everyone in the office today is [...] Busy day in a lot of ways. I was up early firstly to drop L at the station. The peddle fell off her shiny new bike. I can see we will be having words with the shop. It wasn’t cheap either and this is the second safety critical fault. The first one involved her mud [...] For about 20 mins at lunch time I did something I haven’t done in about 15 years. I played some sport. Well, to be more accurate I joined 3 other work mates playing a bit of cricket int he back garden. Whatever people say, its not quite standing around doing nothing. I’m pooped – then again [...] |
