Well it seems the police are searching addresses in Wheeliebinland for al Qa’ida terrorists. Not for the first time mind you but it appears those lovely lads that swapped their stethoscopes for butane cylinders just loved W/L so much they thought they’d make it their base. Is “ZOIKS!!!!” an Arabic word? True, there was some arrests here [...] I got a call last night to tell me that Prisoner of Conscience Thet Win Aung had died that evening in jail in Mandalay. Crushing news. I ran my Edinburgh Marathon in honour of Thet Win Aung. I received word on the grapevine that he knew of it and of our local Amnesty International groups campaign [...] We were just about to sit down to our tea last night when we got the knock at the door. As expected, The Law were doing the rounds asking questions about the death on the common. We ushered the officer in and gestured for her to sit down which she did but was almost entirely [...] Had a couple of German friends round to tea last night. L was away on business so it was left to me alone to demonstrate a Burns Supper to my guests. As they brought the haggis and time was marching, I had to skin it and put it in the microwave to get it [...] Frosty morning. Clear and cool and clean. I was a bit chilly with 2 duvets plus a bed spread. This is L’s insulation against winter. Frankly far too heavy for my liking. I can hardly sleep under the weight. Anyway, glad she’s back from her travels. I was busy last night setting up an e-tailer shop [...] |
